The Avyn Craig Memorial Foundation SCHOLARSHIP
The ACMF awards annual scholarships to graduating students who demonstrate honesty, compassion, loyalty, service, and care for others. Through the scholarship program, The ACMF honors Avyn Craig’s legacy by recognizing students whose character and actions make a positive difference in their schools, churches, and communities.

Under the current guidelines, applicants must:
Complete the ACMF Scholarship Application
Be enrolled as a full-time student in the Dayton School District
Be scheduled to graduate during the year the scholarship is awarded
Submit their most recent grade report
Provide a recommendation from an advisor, counselor, teacher, or coach
Submit a typed essay of at least 250 words describing their career goals or future plans
Demonstrate honesty, care, loyalty, and love for others
Participate in activities that support and serve the community
Participate in a community church organization

Applicants should demonstrate qualities that reflect the heart of Avyn’s legacy, including:

A complete application packet must include:
Completed ACMF Scholarship Application
Verification of Enrollment form
Most recent semester grade report
Letter of recommendation from an advisor, counselor, teacher, or coach
Typed essay of at least 250 words describing career goals or future plans
A cover letter of no more than two pages may also be included but is optional. Incomplete applications are not considered.

Important Dates
Application Deadline
March 31 each year by 5:00 p.m.Scholarship Committee Review
Completed applications are reviewed following the deadline.Board Approval
Final recipients are approved by the ACMF Board of Directors after recommendations are submitted by the Scholarship Committee.Award Disbursement
Scholarship funds are paid directly to the recipient’s approved educational institution.

The ACMF Scholarships were created to honor Avyn Craig and carry his legacy forward by supporting students as they continue their education.
Recipients are recognized not only for their academic and future goals, but for the character they demonstrate through honesty, kindness, loyalty, community involvement, and service to others.

Every ACMF Character Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of individuals, families, businesses, and community partners who believe character deserves to be recognized.
Supporters may:
Sponsor an individual scholarship
Contribute to the general scholarship fund
Establish a named scholarship
Give in honor or memory of someone
Make a multi-year funding commitment
Become an ACMF community or corporate partner
